Learning Comes

Alive at Circle E

Ranch

Our ranch setting gives children something very special: direct connection to animals, land, seasons, and the rhythms of real life. With careful supervision and age-appropriate expectations, children may have opportunities to feed or observe animals, collect nature treasures, plant and water vegetables, observe growth, and learn gentle stewardship.

The Atelier: Art,
Materials + Imagination

In the Reggio tradition, art is not just a craft to take home. Art is a language children use to think, communicate, test ideas, and make their learning visible.

Families can expect children to explore:

Ranch + Nature Learning

Animal Care

Feed, observe, and talk about horses, chickens, ducks, cows, and how living things need care.

Garden + Farm

Plant seeds, water vegetables, notice changes, harvest when ready, and explore farm-to-table ideas.

Outdoor Play

Run, climb, dig, build, balance, and strengthen bodies through daily fresh-air movement.

Nature Inquiry

Ask questions about weather, seasons, bugs, mud, leaves, eggs, feathers, tracks, and growth.

Kindergarten Readiness, the Imagineers
Way

Our curriculum gently prepares children for kindergarten while honoring how young children actually learn: through hands-on experiences, movement, conversation, art, repetition, independence, and meaningful play.

📖 Early Literacy

Storytime, rhymes, songs, name recognition, letter sounds, print-rich classroom labels, beginning writing, vocabulary, and listening comprehension.

Counting, sorting, patterns, shapes, measurement, number sense, graphing nature finds, building, cooking projects, and comparing amounts.

Cutting, gluing, drawing, painting, clay, tweezers, beads, puzzles, manipulatives, pouring, scooping, and practical life work.
Learning to share space, use words, take turns, solve conflicts, express feelings, build empathy, and participate in group routines.
Cubbies, cleanup jobs, handwashing, transitions, circle time, following multi-step directions, lunch routines, and caring for materials.
Observing animals, seasons, weather, plants, soil, insects, eggs, seeds, compost, ranch tools, and real-world questions about how things grow.

A note about kindergarten prep: We do not rush children into worksheets all day. Instead, we build the foundation kindergarten teachers want most: communication, confidence, curiosity, independence, self-regulation, motor skills, early academic concepts, and a love of learning.
